Supreme Iron Arhat

While Da Hong Pao (Red Cloak) may be the most famous Wuyi oolong, we believe this exceptional Tiě Luóhàn (Iron Arhat) deserves equal, if not greater, recognition.

Produced in Wuyi Shan, Supreme Iron Arhat is a traditional yancha oolong grown among the region’s steep rocky cliffs and mineral-rich landscapes. These demanding growing conditions encourage slow leaf development and the accumulation of a wide range of flavour compounds, giving the tea its distinctive character. Compared with many other oolongs, it offers a more direct and intense expression, both in aroma and taste.

Producing an outstanding Tiě Luóhàn is never straightforward. Both cultivation and processing require considerable skill, and finding a producer capable of achieving the balance and refinement we seek has been a long journey.

The result is a tea with a sweet floral aroma, a complex charcoal finish, and a rich, lingering mineral character that carries through to a clean, refreshing, and elegant finish.
